Artists for Peace and Justice
Artists for Peace and Justice is a fundraising effort founded by Paul Haggis and friends that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty and enfranchisement in communities around the world. The organization’s immediate goal is to build schools to serve the poorest areas of Haiti, providing an education, hot meals, clean drinking water and regular medical treatments to the children living in the slums.
CARE
CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. We place special focus on working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL)
The ICBL brings together humanitarian, human rights, peace, veterans, medical, development, arms control, religious, environmental and women's groups in common call for a complete ban on antipersonnel mines. A network of more than 1,400 non-governmental organizations in 90 countries, ICBL is working for a Global Ban on Landmines.
Liberty in North Korea
