Artists for Peace and Justice
Artists for Peace and Justice is a fundraising effort founded by Paul Haggis and friends that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty and enfranchisement in communities around the world. The organization’s immediate goal is to build schools to serve the poorest areas of Haiti, providing an education, hot meals, clean drinking water and regular medical treatments to the children living in the slums.
Do Something
Do Something believes that young people have the power to change the world and uses the internet as an agent to implement that change. It is their aim to inspire, support and celebrate a generation of do-ers: people who see the need to do something, believe in their ability to get it done, and then take action to make the world a better place.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Habitat for Humanity builds with people in need regardless of race or religion. Habitat for Humanity welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.
Heifer International
Heifer International's mission is to work with communities worldwide to end hunger, poverty and care for the earth. Through gifts of livestock and training, Heifer projects help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. Referring to these animals as "living loans", recipient families agree to give one of its animal's offspring to another family in need, thus Passing on the Gift. Interfaith Workers Justice (IWJ)
IWJ calls upon religious values in order to educate, organize, and mobilize the religious community in the U.S. on issues and campaigns that will improve wages, benefits, and working conditions for workers, especially low-wage workers.
National Coalition for the Homeless
The National Coalition for the Homeless is a national network of people who are currently experiencing or who have experienced homelessness, activists and advocates, community-based and faith-based service providers, and others committed to a single mission of ending homelessness.

The Southern Poverty Law Center was founded in 1971 as a small civil rights law firm. Today, the Center is internationally known for its tolerance education programs, its legal victories against white supremacists and its tracking of hate groups.
St. Bernard Project
Rebuilding the Lives of Katrina Survivors, Family by Family -- The St. Bernard Project is a nonprofit grassroots rebuilding organization whose mission is to remove barriers for families who wish to move back into their homes in St. Bernard Parish, a uniquely tight-knit, working/middle class community adjacent to New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward. The St. Bernard Project carries out its mission through three primary programs: Rebuilding, its Center for Wellness and Mental Health and Senior Housing.
